Disciplinary Cell – Overview

The disciplinary committee is constituted for the maintenance of discipline in the college. The committee ensures that students obey rules and remain orderly and peaceful in the pursuit of educational objectives within the college community. It aims to create awareness and protect against any ill incidents taking place on campus.

Aims and Objectives

  • Campus Discipline: Maintain and enforce strict discipline within the college campus.

  • Identification: All students must wear their ID cards while on campus and in classrooms.

  • Conflict Prevention: To avoid physical confrontation among students.

  • Property Damage: Any damage caused to college property will result in the cost being recovered from the student(s) involved, followed by disciplinary action.

  • Misconduct Protocol: Students found in an act of indiscipline are warned in the first instance; continued misconduct leads to formal action based on committee rules.

  • Prohibitions: Smoking is strictly prohibited on the college campus.

  • Environment: Ensuring complete silence in the library and a calm, peaceful academic atmosphere throughout the campus.

Meeting Minutes (July 2018)

A meeting was called in the Sports Room at 12:00 PM by the Chairperson. The committee discussed upcoming college events and assigned responsibilities to members to maintain campus discipline. Emphasis was placed on ensuring events are conducted professionally and respectfully, with measures in place to handle disruptive behavior.


Session 2019-20

Meeting Minutes (August 9, 2019)

The meeting was held in the staff room at 1:00 PM.

  • Agenda: Discussed helping students solve discipline issues and the need for additional training for the Student Council on conduct policies.

  • Decisions: It was decided that verbal warnings would be given for initial violations, but disruptive behavior in class could lead to suspension. Training was approved to equip Student Council members with skills to handle conduct issues appropriately.


Session 2020-21 (COVID-19 Lockdown Period)

Meeting Minutes (October 13, 2020)

Held in the staff room at 10:20 A.M. during a brief period when the college was open during lockdown.

  • Online Learning: Members suggested ways to ensure students maintained a serious approach toward online classes.

  • Interaction: Students were encouraged to stay in constant touch to support coordination during testing times.

  • Future Planning: Suggestions for 2021 were taken in the event that the college reopened for offline classes.


Session 2021-22

Meeting Minutes (October 8, 2021)

The meeting followed all COVID protocols.

  • Operations: Discussion focused on the rotation system where Science and Humanities students attended campus for three days each by turn.

  • Faculty Presence: All faculty were physically present during working hours, managing classes in both online and offline modes.

  • SCA Involvement: The Student Council Association (SCA) was roped in to help teachers oversee and prevent discipline problems.


Session 2022-23

Meeting Minutes (July 11, 2022)

Held in the Principal’s office at 2:30 PM. It was decided that the following points should be conveyed to students during the assembly:

  • Attend classes regularly and punctually.

  • Wear identity cards on campus.

  • Do not leave the campus before 1:00 PM.

  • Do not use mobile phones in prohibited areas.

  • Do not indulge in ragging.

Attendance for this meeting included: Dr. Kawalbir Kaur (Principal), Ms. Ritu Kalia, Ms. Baljit Kaur, Ms. Salma, Ms. Charanjit Kaur, and student members Rakhal and Sheveta.
